তুমি জান ওগো অন্তর্যামী,
পথে পথেই মন ফিরালেম আমি।
       ভাবনা আমার বাঁধল নাকো বাসা,
       কেবল তাদের স্রোতের 'পরেই ভাসা,
       তবু আমার মনে আছে আশা
            তোমার পায়ে ঠেকবে তারা স্বামী।
টেনেছিল কতই কান্নাহাসি,
বারে বারেই ছিন্ন হল ফাঁসি।
     শুধায় সবাই হতভাগ্য ব'লে
     "মাথা কোথায় রাখবি সন্ধ্যা হলে?"
      জানি জানি নামবে তোমার কোলে
            আপনি যেথায় পড়বে মাথা নামি।
